ABOUT

Morgan is an experienced Sound Designer, Audio Editor and Dialogue Engineer specialising in audio post production for film, animations and games.

After graduating with a 1st class degree with honours in Music Technology Specialism from the London College of Music and a brief stint as a sound engineer at Wembley Stadium, Morgan started his post production career as a runner at the multi-award winning audio post studio Grand Central Recording Studios. After spending a year on secondment in the specialist VR team, Morgan then progressed on to being a transfer engineer where he supported senior engineers with tracklay,  music edits and dialogue cleanup for many high profile advertising campaigns.

Having joined his current company eargym as a Sound Designer, Morgan quickly made a good impression and within 3 months was leading the games team and managing their creative content. He is now the Creative Lead at eargym and is managing the product development of their Beta app launching soon, as well as leading on all sound design and audio.

From documentaries and film to animations and games I have gained great professional experience in recording, cleaning and editing dialogue. I have engineered many professional recording sessions and spent (what feels like) thousands of hours cleaning and editing dialogue in RX and Pro tools. I also have professional experience in implementing this dialogue in game engines and middleware.

I have a broad range of professional  sound design experience from 5 years working in the industry and countless freelance projects. I thoroughly enjoy the process of bringing a scene to life with deliberate and exciting sound design, be it modern UI and weapons or organic creature vocalisation and movement, I have endless enthusiasm for creating new and wonderful sounds!

I first gained an interest in interactive audio towards the end of my degree at LCM, where as a final project I designed and built a pair of head tracking headphones. Using HRTF and gyroscopes I was able to develop a surprisingly realistic 360 audio field. Due to this background knowledge I was seconded into the specialist VR team for a year at GCRS. In this team I was implementing audio in professional projects using game engines and middle-wear. In my current role at eargym I also lead on Audio implementation within unity and Fluter.

Coming from a musical background growing up I have always enjoyed composing, recording and editing music. Although post production audio is my professional focus I spend a lot of my spare time writing and mixing music. I also frequently  freelance for a local community studio as an engineer and consultant as I was heavily involved in designing and building the studio a few years ago.
